The Reverend Myles P. Murphy, S.T. L.
Father Myles P. Murphy was ordained in 1990 by the late Cardinal John J. O’Connor at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral. He studied at and received his Licentiate in Sacred Theology from the International Marian Research Institute in Dayton, Ohio. The Institute is an annex of the Pontifical Faculty of Theology of the Marianum in Rome. He served on the faculty at the former St. Joseph Seminary Institute of Religious Studies where he taught Apologetics and Mariology. He is past President of the Mariological Society of America and is a member of the Speakers Bureau at the Marian Library/International Marian Research Institute, Dayton, Ohio. His served as Pastor of Saint Michael’s on West 34th Street and most recently as Pastor of Saint Agnes Parish on East 43rd Street.
The Reverend Teodoro Cortezano
Fr. Teodoro Abner Cortezano completed his theological studies at the Holy Rosary Major Seminary in Naga City, the Philippines, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sacred Theology in 1997. He was ordained a Diocesan Roman Catholic Priest on November 22, 1997 (also in Naga City), by the late Archbishop Leonardo Z. Legazpi OPDD. His assignments have included: Parochial Vicar at St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, Pili, Camarines Sur, Philippines, 1997-2001; Missionary (and Parish) Priest of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Nila, Shortland Islands, Solomon Islands, 2001-2005; Parish Priest at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Malawag, Nabua, Camarines Sur, Philippines,2005-2012 and Parochial Vicar, Holy Cross Parish, also in Nabua, 2012-2015. He is presently assigned as Parochial Vicar of our Parish, Our Lady of Victory, New York, New York and is currently in his 19th year in the priesthood, praying that God blesses him with more years to continue in his commitment to serve in His vineyard!
The Reverend Roshan J. Sovis
Fr. W. Roshan J. Sovis is a priest of the Archdiocese of Colombo, Sri Lanka and was ordained in September 13, 2003. He received a Bachelor of Philosophy (BPh) and Bachelor of Sacred Theology (BTh) from the National Seminary in Sri Lanka which is affiliated with the Pontifical Urbaniana University in Rome and a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM) from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. He has served at Loyola College, Negombo in Sri Lanka (2003-2008)as Assistant Teacher, and at the Sectional Head Upper School as Primary Principal. Also, at St. Peter's College, Colombo 4, Sri Lanka (2009-2014) as Vice Principal and Vice Rector. One year here in the states at Immaculate Conception Basilica, Waterbury, CT as Parochial Vicar and three years at the Church of St Agnes, New York.
The Reverend Edward Owusu-Ansah
Rev. Edward Kofi Owusu-Ansah is a diocesan priest of the Catholic Diocese of Obuasi in Ghana. He was ordained priest for the Archdiocese of Kumasi, Ashanti in Ghana, in 1994 by the Archbishop Emeritus Peter Kwasi Sarpong. Fr. Kofi studied the Theological and the Philosophical Sciences at the St. Peter’s Regional Seminary, Pedu, Cape-Coast, and the St. Paul’s Major Seminary, Sowutuom in Accra, Ghana, respectively.
Before coming to the New York Archdiocese in January 2016, Fr. Kofi had worked in four parishes in Ghana both as a pastor and as a parochial vicar. He was a member of the College of Consultors to the Bishop, and the Episcopal Vicar for Clergy and Religious in the Diocese of Obuasi from 2009 to 2015. He was a representative from the Obuasi Diocese to the National Liturgical Commission, and a proud member of the Kumasi Provincial Liturgical Commission team that is translating the Roman Missal and the Lectionary from the English language to the vernacular.
